A Florida native raised in the West Palm Beach area, Dr. Tennyson decided to return to the Palm Beaches after finishing his education. He completed his undergraduate and medical degree from University of Florida and graduated cum lade from both; he was also awarded membership in the prestigious AOA (alpha omega alpha) society in medical school.
He completed his internship and residency training in Radiation Oncology at Virginia Commonwealth University, where he served as Chief Resident during his final year of training. He spent a significant amount of his training caring for veterans at the Hunter Holmes McGuire VA Medical Center, which houses the national office for Radiation Oncology for veteran’s affairs.
Dr. Tennyson is published in peer-reviewed journals and presented at numerous national and international scientific meetings on topics including Lung Cancer, Prostate cancer, GI malignancies and radiation uses in benign diseases. Upon returning to the area Dr. Tennyson joined Jupiter Medical Specialists at the esteemed Ella Milbank Foshay Cancer Center.
